Gold £6,000 Sri Lankan necklace stolen in Enfield

AN e-fit of a man wanted for stealing a solid gold £6,000 necklace in Enfield has been released by police.

The man, described by detectives as “mixed race”, snatched the necklace from a 29-year-old woman in an alleyway off Nags Head Road, as she walked home.
The necklace is a traditional Sri Lankan symbol of marriage, called a Thaalee.
The robber fled the scene after the robbery towards Durants Road, at around 1.20pm on Monday, October 10. Detectives have not yet traced him and are hoping the e-fit will prompt witnesses to come forward.
